"bore", hah. I didn't learn of BBA until long after it's pages were coming out and I find these concepts exciting to look at. These are gorgeous, you did a really nice job of making the individuals look different keeping them clearly within the same species. Their looks also do really well to help give an idea of their personality. The two boys on the left are tough looking but you managed to make them look nothing like each other at the same time.
ughh <3 I just love seeing cartoon anatomy designed so nicely ;w; I'm envious and inspired.
Not boring AT ALL! I love seeing this. Following you for so long, it's comforting and also exciting to see old characters reawakened and revisited. I can't WAIT to see what you do next. Nothing like seeing familiar characters come back to life
I have to say, I liked her hair tips and stuff. While I enjoy "natural" looking wolf comics, I did enjoy BBA for the sake of being unique and not so close to "mother nature" with the fury and the colors. Just hope that you won't change Bloody so much, I liked her blood red fur with the black legs etc. I also liked Fleetfoot with her orangy-ish colors ^^.
Thing is, that you got a tooooon of fans for your (old) BBA comic <3 and thusly the characters are very much loved and some of us may have gotten attached to them, because they see quirks of themselves in those characters. Just be careful, that you don't, with changing too much, ... hmm offend is a word that is too heavy ... but ... hurting - in a sort of way - your fans with that.
Back then when you changed Claymore and his sister, I was a bit sad, because I really liked their design and how they originally looked like, especially Scythe's. When you took that away and made them more "plain", it put too much focus on Blade (which had and will have enough focus anyway).
Making characters equally "shiny" (or at least equally in their own pack / family) is better, imo. So you don't end up making it too obvious who the main character is or whatever ^^. Like Windchill or the one with the white + black spotted legs (forgot her name) - they are unique in their design and the colors are bright and thusly even when in background, they don't "lose" their focus .
I'm really loving these new character concepts and redesigns. They're quite a bit more stylized and unique than the past designs, and it gives each of them a wonderful sense of personality even without knowing too much about the characters yet.
I'm happily looking forward to the continuation of this new direction!
(but no, wee lil' rip though with all that scruff. what a cutie)
Nice. Having been a fan of your old comic, I see a lot of development as far as character designs go. Each of these new designs has a very distinctive outline, I'm pretty sure I could identify them all even from a silhouette. Before I was relying heavily on color to distinguish one character from another.
