Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you about a fun little game downloadable for the iphone/itouch called Lion pride. A friend of mine worked on it so I wanted to show it to yall. it's pretty fun, i really enjoyed it Check it out at [link]

Hey guys thanks so much for updating me on whats up with you all. I didn't do any public replies but I enjoyed reading them all and hope you all the best. Most people sound like theyre doing good. And also apparently a lot of you are anxiously awaiting more BBA. Well good news on that - it's coming!
I'm done getting my job portfolio together so now I can get back on the ol comic track. I'm also going to be receiving some general writing help from my boyfriend (please check out his amazing stuff, he doesnt have much up now but ill poke him to upload new work!). His support is invigorating and we have all discussed working to meet an output of 1 pg/week starting sometime this month.

I'd start right away except, more good news. The BBA game I know many of you have been waiting for should Alpha (a version with only graphical chat, RP, and character creation) in September. So I've been kindof crunching on that and not working on the page. People who donated to the project will receive access to the multiplayer demo first. And if we need more testers and everything seems stable enough I'll be posting to non-donators on here so you can get in on it.

Im very excited about this so... I know it's been a long time and most all of the programming work that had been done up until a month ago had been scrapped. We've gone through multiple teams and programmers and just couldnt seem to get people working together. But a very kind young flash programmer found me and well, he knew how to get down to business. So things are rolling. Thank you all for your endless patience, support, and kindness. I'll be working hard to make this something very enjoyable to reward yall. What Im most excited for about it is that it will be another way to bring our community together in 1 place, and I getting to real-time with you guys about art and comic stuff will be sweeeeet!

OK well, I'll post another update when Ive got more news. Until then, hang tight!

Ok so, I've received a few notes and messages from readers and also from friends of mine along the lines of "What happened to your comic?"

It made me realize that I should probably write a public update explaining what's going on.

Firstly, I have not quit the project whatsoever. But I did change around some priorities since my last update because my circumstances are always changing and I have to adapt.

Ran into some serious financial problems (which I was expecting, being out of a job for the last couple years and all). I can't make BBA if I can't eat or pay my bills.
So I've been learning to use Maya (a 3D modeling/animating program). This is so that i have a new arsenal of skills under my belt and can market myself better to the game industry. There's a company abt 15 minutes from here that my roommate works at. Really nice place, really good job... I decided to use the spring to try and build a portfolio suitable for submission along with an application.

So that's where i've been investing all my time and thats why the new BBA page (which is 80% done and just sitting on my desktop) hasn't gotten finished. It's not because I'm bored with it or have quit... I just need to get this job asap. So everything else is "on hold" until that happens... as much as I regret that

I just wanted that out in the open, even though it's pretty personal (which is why I hesitated to post this earlier). But I feel like it's apparent that there are people that care and therefore they deserve to know.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and interest. I'll do my best to make the waiting worth it someday

OK, well,

hahahaha

Firstly

Thanks so much for tolerating my last, rather ambiguous and esoteric journal post.

I read every single comment. I wanted to reply to them all too, but I felt it would be too self-indulgent I got a lot of supportive and understanding comments that were of great value. It really helped broaden my perspective to some of the value in my artwork that some other people may see.

I know so many of you probably know this but sometimes, as an artist, you produce stuff and even if you try your hardest and put all your heart and soul into it, you still feel insecure about it. Or maybe its for the very reason that you put so much into it that you feel insecure about it.

So I was feeling that. And also, not just insecure about my art career but... apparently people get to a point where they realize theyre insecure about the choices they've made that have put their life on it's current path. If you have been to that point, raise your hand

Ok, well that's where I was at last month. And let me say it is simultaneously a wonderful and frightening place to be.

Here are some conclusions that I made!

- I'd like to go back to college
- But not study art, study physics and astronomy. Cosmology is a subject that slaps my melancholic, negative thoughts back into perspective so that they dont consume me. There is a gigantic universe out there. It makes my personal problems seem small, while shocking away the anesthetic of familiarity, replacing moroseness with a sense of wonder and awe, and drive to learn more!
- BBA is important to me for many reasons and I enjoy it so Im going to keep working on it and trying to prioritize it more
- I really like...painting on canvases. I dont know anything about it but I have done some meditative painting work and might post some to DA if anyone is interested?


Sooo there it is!

I dont really think I can say the following enough: Thank you for taking the time to read these journals. That alone shows that you have some semblance of concern for me as an artist and community member. I really value that. To those who comment, the same goes for you, except that you even take the time to express your thoughts to me! It's pretty inspiring. It really makes me feel apart of this community, whereas before I'd been starting to feel ostracized by a lot of the immature negativity that can also spout up on my page. I am constantly shown, by you, that hatred will be drowned out by love and friendship. When I am losing faith in humanity, know that your kind words and support restore it.
