What Im about to say has probably already been pretty apparent to many of you, and I'd even bet there's a good few who've been expecting a post like this for some months. So here it is!
I'm at a place where I can no longer fulfill my role on the BBA project. But rather than abandon what we and our watchers deem as a good thing, I'm transferring project leadership to
I wholeheartedly apologize for not being able to follow through and give you, loyal readers and supporters of our work, a completed project. I've tortured myself with guilt over this, but Ive seen that all this time I simply needed to be honest with myself and everyone else and face the fact that i just cant do this right now. And rather than make everyone, chiefly my project partner, sit in limbo wondering what the hell is going on, the best thing to do is to hand over the reigns.
If I had to compare the "reboot" to the older work with just one phrase I would say that it has had a lot more thought put in to the story, characters and other elements. The BBA originally started one day when i was in highschool, sitting in my bedroom at my parents house on a rainy day, bored out of my skull. I hopped on to the bed with a hardcover book, a mechanical pencil and a sheet of printer paper. I remember thinking something along the lines of "I'm going to draw a comic page". And I just did. I didn't plan anything really well and I didn't expect anyone else would ever read it, let alone like it!
It's funny how things turn out. I've really loved this project. I've met so many great people, had so many awesome experiences and learned so much because of it. (I could also write a novel here with my reflections on all of this, but that might be pretty self indulgent.)
On another note, i also wanted to remind everyone it's ok to using our characters/story in your own art, comics, stories and posting them on the internet is totally fine. All we ask that you don't sell try to sell the work.
If you'd like you can continue to watch this gallery if youre interested in following the bba reboot. I'll probably be posting it here, but it will also be in
I think it's going to be pretty good! I hope you'll enjoy it.
Thank you again, my fellow Deviants, for the many years of unwavering support and comradery.

Most work that I upload to DA will be filed under Creative Commons: Attribution-Noncommercial. Please click [link] and it will explain very shortly and sweetly what this means for you.
The only work that will NOT be filed under CC will be fan art/gift art. There will be special notices under those pieces to remind you not to use the characters, as they don't belong to me. I am removing all commission work from my gallery.
While of course I hold copyright to my art, I allow anyone who likes my work to help themselves to it in a variety of ways. It's my small way of "giving back" to fans and others who have supported me in my creative endeavors.
If someone wants to trace, reference, recolor or repost my art for their own personal use, that's fine.
If people want to have fun and use my images in any other manner it does not threaten me in the least. I am flattered in fact by this, so don't even worry about asking me, just go ahead and feel free to use what you want.
So guys, while again I really appreciate your concerns for me and my work, please don't send notes about art theft unless the user is using my art or derivatives of my art to make money.
To comply with the creative commons license on DA, please simply place a link to this gallery,
These policies only pertain to me and my work. Do not apply these rules to every artist's work Please be aware that not everyone is as lax when it comes to their art being used by others. Always ASK another artist if it is acceptable before using their stuff. They may very well NOT allow their work to be reposted or manipulated. This is completely within the realms of their rights as the creators of the original artwork.

I know you're okay with people reposting your art, but what about people who claim they made the art and own the characters? [link]
If you decide to continue drawing again thousands will be incredibly happy. As many have said either through hope, disappointment or hugs, we loved your style and will miss it incredibly. It's something that i hope you don't take as guilt but rather a big virtual hug to your art ability. Not everyone has the x-factor you did and while people can draw realistically not everyone can draw in a way that appeals to such a wide range of people. I hope this makes you smile sweetie because I want you to realize this.
I also hope someday you find the passion in story telling again whether through writing, directing or co-partnering with Erin. And that most of all you have fun and enjoy whatever you set out to do.
Don't let those who tried their best to bring you down succeed. Whatever you do in life, have a blast.
Always a friend,
Moon
it makes me sad because you've reached a point in life at such a young age im still struggling to get too. Your not much older then my I envied your skills and how you got so far at 18 while im still taking baby steps its frustrating having practiced since I was small and feeling like im getting nowhere.
The figures being sold, your own webpages I dreamed of it....its just heart breaking your dropping this but its your choice and I respect that no matter how sad it makes me.
dont get me wrong, I love your work and the story, I think you are a great artist (you both are!) It just seem unfair that people pay for a incomplete story.
Good luck with life, As a lot of what I want to say has already been said.
