another colored concept.... this one is kinda crappy. im not happy with it. i almost didnt even post it but meh

this is the first thing ive done with my new cintiq. i wanted to try it out on something personal and not a commission, because i knew using a different tool was going to take some getting used to and i wanted to at least be comfortable with the subject matter.

It always takes me a long time to adapt to new tools. Or maybe not but it just *feels* like a long time, because im super impatient when it comes to that kind of stuff. I will do something a slow and inefficient way just because thats what I know and am comfortable with, rather than take the time to learn something thats faster and more efficient. Im sure thats not a unique trait though I suppose!

overall Im pretty frustrated at the moment with these results and will need to practice a lot more with this to get where i want to be.

well, i hope you think hes still cute in this drawing anyway!
